Anthropic’s IPO filing reveals its strategy for keeping enterprise customers hooked
Anthropic’s S-1 shows more than half of its $100,000-plus customers now use both the Claude Platform and a first-party app, a cross-selling playbook reminiscent of Amazon that’s making enterprise customers stickier.
Anthropic is building the same kind of cross-product ecosystem that helped make tech companies like Amazon and Uber enormously sticky, and its S-1 suggests the strategy is working. More than half of customers spending at least $100,000 annually now use both the Claude platform and a first-party app like Claude Code or Cowork, up from about 30% at the end of last year.
“The speed and depth of our enterprise customer adoption are powerful evidence of Claude’s position at the frontier of AI,” the S-1, filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday , reads.
